Job Description
Job Title: Packer (Event/Print Production)
Location: Freeport, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible)
Employment Type: Temporary with potential for hire
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays required
Compensation: $17-18/per hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packer to join a fast-paced, high-volume printing and production environment. This role is responsible for preparing printed materials for shipment to events and conventions, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
What You Do:
- Pack printed materials and products for shipment according to order specifications
- Inspect items for quality and accuracy prior to packaging
- Label and organize packages for delivery to various events and conventions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with general production and warehouse tasks as needed
- Meet daily productivity goals in a fast-paced environment
What We're Looking For:
- Previous packing, warehouse, or production experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods
Physical Requirements:
- Light physical work; no heavy lifting required
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and remain active throughout the shift
Additional Information:
- Peak business periods run from April through July, with another increase in workload after August
- Opportunity for Temporary-to-Permanent hire based on performance and business needs
