Job Description

Title: Office Manager/Sr. Paralegal
Location: Hauppauge, NY
Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Compensation: $75,000-85,000

A busy personal injury law firm in Hauppauge is seeking an experienced Office Manager / Senior Litigation Paralegal to oversee daily office operations while managing a personal injury caseload.
The ideal candidate has strong New York litigation experience, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to keep cases and administrative processes moving efficiently.

Your Contributions
  • Manage personal injury matters from intake through settlement or trial preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and file documents through NYSCEF and other court systems.
  • Maintain case calendars, deadlines, depositions, IMEs, court appearances, and attorney schedules.
  • Request and review medical records, police reports, insurance documents, and other case materials.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, insurance carriers, and medical providers.
  • Prepare settlement packages, organize trial materials, and assist attorneys with case preparation.
  • Oversee daily office operations, workflow, staff assignments, and administrative procedures.
  • Train and support legal and administrative staff.
  • Assist with billing, reporting, vendor coordination, and maintaining organized office systems.
  • Ensure files are accurate, current, and compliant with firm procedures.

Bringing to the Table
  • 7–10 years of litigation paralegal experience, with a strong focus on personal injury matters.
  • Prior office management or legal team leadership experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of New York State court procedures, litigation deadlines, and NYSCEF e-filing.
  • Strong drafting, case management, calendaring, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and client-service skills.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management software.
