Job Description

PMO Lead – Oracle ERP Finance Programs
Title: PMO Lead, Oracle ERP Finance

Engagement: Contract-to-hire (target conversion around 6 months)
Role Overview
Lead the portfolio of finance-related programs on Mount Sinai’s Oracle ERP platform. This is a hands-on, consultative PMO role, not a “check-the-box” project manager. You will drive execution, shape solutions, and partner closely with senior finance and technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the program and project management of finance initiatives within Oracle ERP (e.g., account reconciliation, fixed assets, monthly close, allocations).
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Accounting Officer, CFO, and finance leadership, translating business needs into actionable roadmaps.
  • Bridge business and technology:
    • Communicate complex technology topics in clear business terms.
    • Work with engineering and product teams to design and execute solutions.
  • Establish and refine methods to solve complex problems:
    • Define approach, sequencing, milestones, and success criteria for large initiatives.
    • Introduce best practices from top-tier consultancies and large enterprise environments.
  • Drive governance, risk, and issue management across multiple workstreams.
  • Produce clear, outcome-focused status reporting, executive updates, and decision materials.
  • Coach teams on best practices in delivery, change management, and stakeholder engagement.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
  • 15–20+ years of experience in program/project management with substantial time in ERP finance environments.
  • Deep experience with Oracle ERP (Cloud or E-Business) in finance domains.
  • Prior background with a Big Four / large consulting firm or similar high-end consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Challenge the status quo respectfully (“Why are we doing it this way?”).
    • Introduce and implement best practices without alienating stakeholders.
    • Operate in complex, less-mature environments and create structure.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across business and IT.
  • Experience in healthcare is a plus, but strong tech/consulting experience outweighs industry.
