Job Description
Job Title: Senior Planner
Location: on-site, New York City
Overview: Looking for a Senior Planner to oversee strategic planning management for high-volume accounts while driving financial results. This role requires a dynamic individual with expertise in sales forecasting, inventory management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to forecast sales, margin, and inventory turn by month, brand/division, and account/customer/size range.
- Validate plans to meet external and internal sales and profit criteria.
- Analyze sales trends and adjust forecasts accordingly.
- Manage receipt flows and model stock levels to support sales forecasts and profit goals.
- Develop strategies based on geographic and store-attribute performance trends.
- Track sales related to markdowns to ensure margin performance.
- Identify opportunities within brands/divisions and accounts, down to the door level.
- Provide direction to Brick & Mortar partners for merchandise flow strategies.
- Prepare merchandise plans by analyzing product categories, quantities, and seasonal floor space.
- Integrate sales forecasts to specify purchase quantities and timelines.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members.
- Supervise staff and provide direction to drive sales.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Sales or Merchandising in the wholesale fashion industry managing high-volume accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (knowledge of AS400 is a plus).
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail.
