Lloyd Staffing is representing a top-tier MEP/FP consulting firm seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Commercial & Hospitality Division. This full-service engineering group is known for its energy-efficient designs and high-performance buildings across commercial, hospitality, and institutional markets.

This is a leadership-track role for a skilled mechanical professional ready to guide design projects, oversee junior engineers, and potentially serve as the Engineer of Record.

Role Overview:

• Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems across multiple building types.

• Serve as a key technical leader, collaborating with Project Engineers, clients, and internal teams.

• Review project milestones for accuracy, budget alignment, and compliance with code and client specifications.

• Sign and seal design drawings where applicable.

• Conduct energy modeling and load calculations using tools like Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or eQUEST.

• Oversee QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineers and CAD staff.

Ideal Qualifications:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required; PE license preferred

• 15+ years of progressive MEP engineering experience in commercial and institutional markets

• Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems

• Familiarity with local/state codes, ASHRAE, and LEED standards

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus

• Experience with energy modeling tools such as Trane Trace, eQUEST, ENERGY STAR, or Carrier HAP

• Prior exposure to design-build, energy efficiency, or sustainable design preferred

• Excellent verbal/written communication, project management, and mentoring skills
