Senior Director / Director Clinical Research - Neurology
Job Description
Our client is a major force in the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences community. They have asked us to identify and refer a Senior Director/Director of Neurology Clinical Research to join their team to oversee clinical studies for Phase 2 and 3 development of compounds targeting the neurology therapeutic area.
The individual hired for this role will contribute to the organization by analyzing and communicating results for these studies and by providing input into clinical development strategies as well as by performing medical monitoring for studies within the Neuroscience group. You will be responsible for developing clinical protocols and serve as a Study Director for selected trials and delivering final protocol, implementation strategy and clinical data review plans. You will be the SME and provide input to project teams across functions, presenting at Advisory Board meetings, and liaising with KOLs regarding protocol study strategy and issues. Participate in the selection of new compounds for clinical development and IND filings in Neuroscience through technical evaluation of licensing and/or partnering opportunities.
Job Requirements
- MD with 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry clinical research experience in Neuroscience or PhD with 8+ years in clinical research in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with experience in Neuroscience/Neurodegenerative Diseases
- Thorough understanding of clinical research methodology including study design, protocol writing, and CRF preparation
- Knowledge of GCP and local regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of the IND/NDA/CTA/MAA processes
