Prosthetist
Job Description
Our client a respected outpatient practice with a reputation for personalized, high-quality prosthetic care is seeking a Certified Prosthetist to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced technologies and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, all while helping patients achieve their highest level of mobility and independence.
• Evaluate patients with limb loss, review medical histories, and perform physical assessments to determine prosthetic needs
• Design and develop custom prosthetic devices using both modern and traditional technologies
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure devices meet functional, cosmetic, and comfort requirements
• Fit, align, and adjust prostheses for optimal performance and patient satisfaction
• Educate patients and families on device use, care, and rehabilitation protocols
• Maintain thorough patient records, ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance documentation
• Provide ongoing support, follow-up care, and modifications as needed
• Partner with physicians, therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Certified Prosthetist (CP) credential from ABC or BOC
- Licensed Prosthetist by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics (or related field)
- Completion of an NCOPE-accredited residency program
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

• Current ABC or BOC certification as a Prosthetist (CP)
• Texas Prosthetist License (TDLR)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Orthotics & Prosthetics
• NCOPE-accredited residency completion
• 2+ years of experience preferred, but newly certified professionals are welcome to apply
• Preferred: Experience with microprocessor knees, myoelectric upper limb prostheses, and bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
