Part-Time AP Specialist
Job Description
- 2–3 full days per week
- Approximately 20–30 hours weekly
About This Opportunity
- Review invoices for proper authorization and accurate GL coding
- Investigate and follow up on past due invoices
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation prior to entry
- Process invoices through the Accounts Payable system
- Coordinate and prepare check runs
- Match checks to invoices and verify payment accuracy
- Mail checks and maintain payment documentation
- Assist with maintaining AP filing systems and records
- Handle vendor phone calls and email inquiries regarding invoice and payment status
- Perform general clerical and administrative duties including scanning, photocopying, filing, email correspondence, faxing, and mail distribution
- Support additional accounting department functions as assigned by management
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred (flexible for the right candidate)
- Experience with QuickBooks is helpful but not required
- Experience using Passport software is a plus; training will be provided if needed
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
