Accounting Specialist
Job Description
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Generate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for management review and to support month-end close processes
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and petty cash monthly
- Maintain general ledger entries and assist with journal adjustments
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoice entry and payment reconciliation
- Invoice customers and ensure on-time collections
- Pay vendor invoices and track payment schedules
- Enter and develop sales orders and work orders
- Assist with quote generation for customers
- Assist with payroll processing and expense report tracking
- Support trade compliance by completing and maintaining export paperwork
- Input data into our ERP system
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and production
- Interact with customers and vendors as necessary to complete tasks and resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Supporting external third parties
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, General Business/Management or 3-5 years’ Experience in Similar Position (Previous Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is Required)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with ERP systems (Fishbowl Experience is a Huge Bonus/Plus), with a strong understanding of typical order to cash workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems
