Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to join our family practice in Northwestern Georgia. As the Lead CPO, you will be responsible for overseeing the prosthetics and orthotics department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership:
- Provide expert clinical guidance and leadership in prosthetics and orthotics.
- Conduct patient assessments, create treatment plans, and develop custom prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and ensure the implementation of best practices.
- Patient Care:
- Evaluate and assess patients' needs for prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Design, fabricate, and fit custom prostheses and orthoses according to patients' individual requirements.
- Educate patients and their families on the proper use and care of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with administrative staff to manage billing, insurance claims, and authorization processes.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Professional Development:
- Stay informed about advancements in prosthetics and orthotics through continuous education and training.
- Encourage and facilitate professional development opportunities for the prosthetics and orthotics team.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) certification.
- State licensure to practice as a prosthetist orthotist in Georgia.
- 3+ years of clinical experience in prosthetics and orthotics.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
