Job Description

We are seeking a Bilingual Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our client’s patients and assisting in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. This role is Mon-Fri from 9AM to 5M including some weekends. Some travel to other sites in the area (5 boroughs) will be required approx. 2x a week

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately documenting patient medical histories, including symptoms, treatments, and medication administration, to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date medical records.
  • Conducting thorough intake assessments, gathering essential information from patients and, when necessary, from their families or guardians to provide holistic care.
  • Providing essential healthcare services to underserved and rural communities, acting as primary caregivers capable of conducting routine and detailed examinations.
  • Prescribing appropriate medications based on your assessment and clinical judgment, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Skillfully ordering diagnostic tests to aid in the accurate diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions. Operating various medical equipment in the clinical setting as needed.
  • Analyzing and interpreting diagnostic test results to identify underlying physiological causes of patient symptoms, collaborating with the medical team to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

Job Requirements

  • Bilingual NP or PA with 2 year experience
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to interpret diagnostic test results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Hello, I am Laura Tavarez. I was born and raised in The Dominican Republic, I also spent five years living in Puerto Rico.

In 2001, I decided to move to NYC to further my education after which I began working in the healthcare industry and have remained here now for approximately two decades.  
My undergrad degree is in Health Services Administration, and I have a Master’s in Organizational Management.  Working directly in the healthcare industry has allowed me to network with different groups, practice areas and health systems.  I have first-hand knowledge of the lingo and culture of the healthcare community which translates well into my Recruitment role. Because of my hands-on healthcare experience, I fully understand the needs of the candidates who work in it and the workforce challenges of the employer.
