Medical Biller
Job Description
- Process and manage billing and collections
- Review and work aging reports to identify claims requiring appeals.
- Ensure timely follow-up and tracking of outstanding or unpaid claims.
- Communicate with insurance companies, attorneys, and other relevant parties regarding claim status and resolution.
- Review claims for accuracy, correcting demographic information, insurance details, diagnosis codes, and CPT codes as needed.
- Maintain an organized book of business, evaluating denied claims, filing appeals, and recording state disputes.
- Provide professional and effective communication with insurance providers, internal staff, and clinical personnel.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of billing and collection processes.
- Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills.
- Experience handling confidential medical information.
