Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Assistant to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Reception of clients and providing a welcoming environment.
- Notifying clients of upcoming appointments and managing scheduling.
- Retrieving clients from the waiting room for the Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD).
- Secretarial tasks such as assembling and filing charts, as well as uploading documents to charts.
- Conducting faxing activities efficiently.
- Measuring vital signs accurately.
- Assisting an authorized practitioner under direct and personal supervision to carry out specific tasks, serving as a "second set of hands."
- Performing related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Medical Assistant certification and/or degree.
- Experience in working with individuals experiencing homelessness with histories of mental illness and/or substance abuse is preferred.
- Basic computer literacy is required.
- CPR training certification or a willingness to participate in a CPR training class.
Hours: Monday- Friday, 9AM – 5PM
