Sales Representative
Nassau County, NY
Base of $50k + Commission up to 50k
The Sales Representative is responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting through close, while building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role owns an individual sales quota and is directly accountable for revenue generation within an assigned territory or account set.
Sales Representatives collaborate closely with Associate Sales Representatives and internal teams to execute sales strategies and achieve performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, presentation, negotiation, and close
  • Achieve or exceed assigned annual sales quota
  • Develop and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities
  • Conduct discovery meetings, product demonstrations, and solution presentations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers
  • Coordinate with Associate Sales Representatives to support pipeline development and deal execution
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline updates, and activity tracking in CRM systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support customer onboarding and success
  • Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions
  • Host and attend customer-facing meetings, including breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, to support relationship development and deal progression
Work Schedule & Flexibility Expectations
  • This position is salaried and exempt and is not an hourly role
  • Sales Representatives must be flexible in working hours based on customer and business needs
  • Expected to conduct or attend customer meetings outside of standard business hours, including:
  • Early morning meetings
  • Evening meetings
  • Customer dinners, as business needs require
Performance Expectations
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned quota thresholds
  • Maintain accurate and timely pipeline and forecast reporting
  • Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Operate with professionalism, accountability, and integrity
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented sales culture

Job Requirements

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven ability to manage a full-cycle sales process
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of organization and time management
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable using CRM and sales productivity tools
  • Willingness and ability to engage in customer-facing activities outside of standard business hours
  • Prior sales experience required in the DME ( Orthopedic Space)
Career Path & Growth
Sales Representatives may be considered for promotion to Senior Sales Representative based on:
Sustained quota achievement
Demonstrated sales excellence and leadership readiness
Business need and performance over a full review period
Promotions are reviewed annually and are not guaranteed.

In 2006, I co-founded Recruiting Resources with my father, focusing on professional services and human resources staffing for both small and national companies. In 2011, I became an independent recruiter, partnering with a small Firm in the Maryland area where I concentrated on sourcing talent primarily for the Life Sciences industry but also expanded into non-technical areas.

Throughout my career, I have valued personal connections and helping individuals find positions that align with their expertise and lifestyle. My journey reflects adaptability, entrepreneurship, and a passion for facilitating meaningful career opportunities for others.  I joined Lloyd Staffing in Aug 2024 to specialize again in Life Sciences.

In my free time, I spend most of my time with my son. We have become quite the fishermen over the past 5 years.
