Licensed Behavioral Therapist
Job Description
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans addressing patient needs within established timelines.
- Lead daily process groups, aligning discussions with treatment plan goals and objectives.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating thorough preparation and insight into patient progress and challenges.
- Accurately document patient progress in relation to treatment goals and objectives.
- Facilitate patient development of group process skills and monitor clinical issues within group settings.
- Provide individual counseling sessions to patients at least once per week.
- Clearly communicate patients’ progress toward recovery, reflecting input from the therapist and multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Build rapport with patients, earning their respect and adapting to diverse patient backgrounds.
- Maintain regular contact with patients' families, conducting weekly family sessions to help them identify and address key issues.
- Connect patients with internal and external resources to support their needs.
- Ensure all documentation is timely, consistent, clear, and well-articulated.
- Develop continuing care plans to provide ongoing support for patients post-discharge
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Healthcare related major, required.
- Three to Five Years of work experience in substance use disorder and/ or mental health field, preferred
- License to practice in applicable state, preferred and/or applicable clinical certifications per state, preferred. (LMHC, LICSW, LADC1)
- Experience with KIPU EMR preferred
- Knowledge of principles and practices of the discipline.
- Adheres to: Healthcare Code of Ethics
- Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards
