Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join growing team in Williston Park, NY. Looking for someone who is eager to learn and has a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who is able to work with a team and be a great addition to our growing firm.

Direct Hire, Compensation Starting at $60k, Fully On-Site M-F 9a-5p

Responsibilities:
  • Take messages for attorney and check voicemails.
  • Pull out or look for files requested by attorney or clerks.
  • Rent Ledgers/Breakdowns
  • Notices of Discontinuances
  • Prepare Notice of Appearance, Notice of Entry, Satisfaction of Judgment, Notice of Issue, or Step of Adjournment
  • Check attorney's NYSCEF emails and re-direct/forward to various departments
  • Periodically check E-Courts on updates on Pending Cases
  • Scan closed out DHCR files
  • Prepare/Open new DHCR files
  • Review Discovery Items
  • Prepare Article 78 items
  • Prepare FOIL request package
  • Communication with clients and/or tenant's attorneys
  • Prepare professional service bills
  • Review invoices
  • Create files
  • Prepare letters for attorneys on letterhead and mail.

Required Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • 3+ Years in Legal setting
  • Knowledge of Discoveries, Article 78, DHCR, and E-Courts
  • Attention to Detail
  • Organized and Professional

Prior to starting my journey as a Talent Associate, I worked closely with Lloyd on the temp side as a field associate for more than 10 years on various assignments. Having the experience temping and understanding the process, I feel that has allowed me to gain a better insight and heightened my ability to assist my candidates throughout their job search! I have an extensive background in Customer Service, as well as the administrative field.

Both of which have allowed me to develop my build relationships along with communication skills to assist with Client Development. I have always believed that communication is the key to every great relationship, whether it be business or personal. I will continue to stand by that belief and apply it to my staffing process here at Lloyd with both clients and candidates!
