Job Description
Position: General Liability Legal Assistant
Location: Uniondale, NY
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Offers Flexibility for Hybrid Schedule once Training is Complete, Ability to WFH 2 Days a Week
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range Expectations $55,000-75,000

Create, revise, and format complex legal documents, including motions, answers, pleadings, and related filings
Assist attorneys with client communication and document preparation
Perform straight typing and proofreading to ensure accuracy prior to attorney review
Answer phones and manage general administrative support
Enter attorney time using iTimekeep
Submit expense and reimbursement reports through Chrome River
Manage and prioritize incoming email and correspondence
Schedule appointments, Zoom meetings, and conferences
Scan and email documents as needed
Electronically file court documents using NYSCEF, CM/ECF, and EDDS platforms
Maintain professionalism and discretion at all times
Demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with attorneys, legal staff, and administrators
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 5+ years of law firm experience
Prior experience supporting general liability matters
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word
Typing speed of 55+ words per minute
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
