Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Records Clerk. This position requires managing incoming and outgoing records, organizing medical files, and working with healthcare providers to ensure timely record retrieval.

What to Know:
Location: On site in Queens, NY
Position Type: Full TIme, Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:
  • Request, receive, and organize medical records from various providers
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in digital and hard copy formats
  • Assist attorneys and staff in locating and summarizing medical documents
  • Review records for completeness and accuracy
  • Follow up with providers to ensure timely responses
  • Ability to track requests, follow with providers and manage deadlines 
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a medical or legal setting OR 4-year collage Degree education
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred
  • Familiar with LexPI and Smart Advocate
