IME (Independent Medical Examination) Coordinator

Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive IME Coordinator to manage and coordinate Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) for our legal cases. The IME Coordinator will serve as a liaison between medical professionals, clients, and attorneys to ensure smooth scheduling, record transmission, and reporting.
- Schedule IMEs with appropriate medical providers
- Communicate with clients, doctors, and insurance carriers regarding appointment logistics
- Prepare and send medical records and case summaries to IME physicians
- Ensure timely receipt of IME reports and follow up as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and status updates for all appointments
- Organize and enter both NF & Liability IME notices into LexPi and Callender/ file hard copies of IME notices
- Texting/ emailing and speaking with clients for the IME schedules, helping them understand the important process of IME
- Reviewing NF Benefit denials with client and NF Adjs.
- Filing Appeals and following up with NF Adjs. to get clients Benefits reinstated
- Getting medical treatment updates from clients
- Coordinate with scheduling companies for necessary changes to IME dates; such as rescheduling for treatments, location changes, client’s availability and etc.
- Coordinate transportation for client with Denis or NF adj./ scheduler
- Clip/ file IME Reports
- Obtain IME Reports as necessary from NF Adj. for attorneys
- Coordinate IME Watchdogs for IME appts.
- 5+ years of experience in a legal, medical, or insurance setting OR 4-year collage Degree
- Strong coordination, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
- Experience with legal or medical software systems
- Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred
- Familiar with LexPI and Smart Advocate
