Job Description
Duties
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory control and food management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
• Manage kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and support to maintain a cohesive team environment.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
• Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process to ensure consistency and excellence.
• Maintain an organized kitchen space, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
• Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices, including inventory control and food handling procedures.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
• Familiarity with dietary requirements and the ability to adapt menus accordingly is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes is essential.

Jason Banks, CSP, entered the staffing and recruitment industry in 1998, after a successful five-year career in advertising sales at CNN, a division of Turner Broadcasting. This experience put him at the forefront of the eMedia movement and at LLoyd, he spearheaded the placement of nationwide web talent through a division originally known as Spider Staffing, which eventually morphed into LLoydCreative & Digital Talent. Today Jason oversees all of LLoyd’s Direct Hire and Contract/Temporary Staffing divisions and specialized disciplines. He is the guiding hand for LLoyd’s recruitment stack which he has built on a tech-human and social community platform. He has incorporated AI sourcing tools to harvest active and passive talent through both the open web and LLoyd’s own candidate tracking and engagement system. Jason was named a rising star in the 40 Under Forty by the Long Island Business News. He is a member of the American Staffing Association’s Search and Placement group and is an active board member of the Long Island Software & Technology Network (LIST.net), where he works to promote collaborations between technology companies and their user audiences in the NY Metro Region. Jason is a supporter of the Woodward Children’s Center, a non-public NYS Education department approved school, providing programs to emotionally disabled students ages 5 to 21, and he is active in the NY/LI Chapter of JDRF.
