Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
- Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently using OCR scanning and automated workflows
- Review, code, and post invoices in the ERP system (currently Great Plains, with a planned migration to Workday by Q4 2026)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor communications, including inquiries related to invoice status, payments, and account issues
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and healthcare industry standards
- Partner with the AP Manager and Finance team to support month-end close activities
- Assist with system testing, data validation, and process improvements related to the ERP migration
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with audit requirements
- 3–5 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably within healthcare or a regulated environment
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems (Great Plains experience required – Workday experience a plus)
- Demonstrated experience working in a high-volume invoice processing environment
- Hands-on experience with OCR invoice processing tools
- Solid understanding of AP best practices, reconciliations, and vendor management
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a team
- Prior experience supporting or participating in an ERP migration
- Familiarity with healthcare finance operations and compliance standards
