Title: Application Owner / Product Owner – Corporate Intranet (Akumina)
 Location: New York Metro preferred; hybrid
 Engagement: Contract-to-hire
Role Overview
Serve as the product and application owner for new Akumina-based corporate intranet, a high-visibility platform that will become the primary digital front door for 50,000–70,000 staff and consultants. You will own the vision, roadmap, and day-to-day management of the intranet as a strategic platform.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the single point of ownership for the intranet application:
    • Define the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics.
    • Prioritize features and integrations across multiple backend systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders in HR, Finance, IT, Communications, and Clinical/Operational areas to gather requirements and define value.
  • Work closely with:
    • IAM Architect and Workflow Architect to ensure cohesive designs.
    • Engineering teams responsible for building integrations and features.
  • Ensure the intranet delivers:
    • A seamless single front-door experience for employees.
    • Access to documents, policies, procedures, and transactional capabilities.
    • A foundation that can support agentic AI-driven assistance over time.
  • Manage vendor relationships with Akumina and coordinate upgrades and enhancements.
  • Own and maintain backlogs, user stories, release planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Champion user experience, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
  • 8–10+ years as a Product Owner, Application Owner, or similar role for large-scale, user-facing enterprise platforms.
  • Experience owning intranet, portal, or employee-facing platforms strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Acumina or SharePoint-like intranet technologies is a plus.
  • Experience working across multiple systems (e.g., Oracle ERP, ServiceNow, HR/benefits systems) in a unified experience.
  • Strong product mindset:
    • Ability to balance user experience, technical feasibility, and business value.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Comfort operating in less-mature, evolving environments, introducing structure and best practices.
