Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a talented Payroll/HR Administrator to join our team in Central Suffolk. The ideal candidate will possess relevant HR experience within New York, coupled with a proficient background in payroll operations. As a Payroll/HR Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in various functions, spanning from recruitment, onboarding, and policy management to general administrative tasks, payroll processing, and fostering a vibrant company culture. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to compliance with state and federal regulations, and a dedication to maintaining confidentiality while addressing employee concerns. This is an in-office position Monday- Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in talent acquisition processes, including drafting and sending offer letters.
  • Conduct thorough employee onboarding, ensuring compliance with employment documentation, reviewing benefits, and facilitating training and development programs.
  • Coordinate benefit planning, including medical selections and 401(k) enrollments, reconciliations, and remittance reviews.
  • Review and manage weekly time sheets, ensuring adherence to company policies and addressing any inconsistencies with supervisors.
  • Provide HR support on matters such as leave, compensation, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, both electronically and in paper format.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by promptly addressing employee issues, developing cost-effective benefits, and organizing team-building activities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with labor regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience, including payroll processing and time and attendance management.
  • Experience with third-party payroll providers is essential, with internal payroll processing knowledge preferred.
  • Associate degree or higher education preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Sound understanding of employment law compliance related to payroll and benefits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently and within a team.

He is a member of the American Staffing Association’s Search and Placement group and is an active board member of the Long Island Software & Technology Network (LIST.net), where he works to promote collaborations between technology companies and their user audiences in the NY Metro Region. Jason is a supporter of the Woodward Children’s Center, a non-public NYS Education department approved school, providing programs to emotionally disabled students ages 5 to 21, and he is active in the NY/LI Chapter of JDRF.
