Job Description
Are you a clinical professional with Epic experience, eager to move into a teaching role? We have an exciting opportunity for you! As an Epic Credentialed Trainer (ECT), you'll leverage your clinical background and Epic expertise to shape the next generation of Epic users through education and training.
In this role, you’ll complete a comprehensive training program and then guide fellow healthcare professionals in using the Epic system. You'll be teaching curriculum developed by Epic Principal Trainers, managing learning environments, facilitating both in-person and virtual sessions, and supporting learners throughout their training journey. This is the perfect opportunity for clinical professionals ready to make an impact through teaching.
Timeframe and Commitment:
- Full-Time Commitment: Six (6) months starting Monday, September 30th.
- Credentialing Period: 6 weeks (September 30th - November 11th), Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM.
- Training Support Period: 12 to 20 weeks (November 18th - April 4th), flexibility required for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and test training materials.
- Lead and facilitate engaging training sessions.
- Provide post-training support, including study halls and assessments.
Location:
- Training will be a mix of in-person sessions in Melville and virtual sessions.
- Credentialed trainers will be assigned to specific locations upon completing the training program.
Job Requirements
- Clinical Experience and hands-on Epic experience are a must.
- A passion for mentoring and helping others learn, with prior experience in training a plus.
- Comfortable with technology and adaptable to new systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information to learners.
