Job Description

This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, project leadership, and functional teams to design scheduling solutions that meet operational and staffing requirements while adhering to organizational policies and labor rules.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience configuring UKG Advanced Scheduling in a healthcare or large enterprise environment and has participated in multiple UKG implementations.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain UKG Advanced Scheduling within UKG Pro WFM (Dimensions). 
  • Design and configure: 
    • Schedule Groups 
    • Shift Templates 
    • Rotation Patterns 
    • Work Rules 
    • Coverage Requirements 
    • Open Shift Management 
    • Shift Swaps 
    • Self-Scheduling 
    • Schedule Requests 
    • Availability Profiles 
    • Skills and Certifications 
  • Configure staffing plans and schedule optimization rules. 
  • Build and maintain scheduling pay rules and labor constraints. 
  • Support configuration of staffing matrices and workload balancing. 
  • Configure schedule validation rules and exception handling. 
  • Partner with operational leaders to gather scheduling requirements and translate them into UKG configuration. 
  • Participate in design workshops, configuration sessions, testing, and production deployment. 
  • Support unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live activities. 
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and recommend best-practice solutions. 
  • Document configuration decisions, business processes, and system changes. 
  • Provide knowledge transfer and support to business users after implementation. 

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of UKG Workforce Management experience. 
  • 3+ years of hands-on UKG Advanced Scheduling configuration experience. 
  • Experience implementing UKG Pro WFM (Dimensions) or UKG Workforce Central. 
  • Strong knowledge of: 
    • Advanced Scheduling 
    • Workforce Scheduler 
    • Timekeeping 
    • Accruals 
    • Attendance 
    • Employee Self-Service (ESS) 
  • Experience configuring: 
    • Shift Templates 
    • Rotations 
    • Schedule Patterns 
    • Coverage Plans 
    • Staffing Requirements 
    • Skills-Based Scheduling 
    • Self-Scheduling 
    • Open Shift Management 
  • Experience supporting full implementation lifecycle including design, build, testing, and go-live. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare implementation experience strongly preferred. 
  • Experience supporting large enterprise organizations (10,000+ employees). 
  • Experience integrating Advanced Scheduling with: 
    • Timekeeping 
    • Payroll 
    • HRIS 
  • Experience with UKG Device Manager (UDM). 
  • Experience with UKG Analytics and reporting. 
  • Familiarity with labor laws, union rules, and complex scheduling requirements. 
  • UKG certification(s) preferred.
