Lloyd Staffing is partnering with a leading engineering consulting firm to identify a mid-level Electrical Design Engineer for their growing Power & Infrastructure division. This group specializes in cutting-edge energy solutions, including microgrids, distributed generation, and grid-edge electrical systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact infrastructure projects and play a role in the future of sustainable energy design.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and engineer electrical infrastructure systems for grid-connected generation (solar, BESS, combustion).

• Produce single-line diagrams, conduit layouts, and specifications.

• Perform studies and modeling: load flow, arc flash, grounding, relay coordination, etc.

• Assist in equipment evaluations, field surveys, and construction oversight.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on multi-disciplinary projects.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
• 5–10 years of progressive engineering experience in power systems, infrastructure, or distributed generation.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV substations, grid interconnections, and switchgear.
• Experience with distributed energy systems: internal combustion, solar PV, battery storage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit a plus).
• Familiar with electrical modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or HOMER.
• Experience preparing relay coordination studies, arc flash assessments, and technical reports.
• Ability to interpret and apply NFPA, NEC, IEEE, and local codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills—able to draft proposals, reports, and client correspondence in English.
• Capable of managing project timelines and resources independently.
