Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an Information Security Architect (ISA) to play a vital role in shaping and safeguarding our organization's digital infrastructure. You'll translate business goals into robust security practices, ensuring seamless alignment between security needs and operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Security Planning: Spearhead the development and maintenance of security strategies tailored to our organizational objectives. This involves leveraging cloud platforms like Azure and AWS to fortify our digital landscape.
  • Security Architecture Management: Craft and curate security architecture artifacts that serve as blueprints for secure project execution and operational efficiency.
  • Standards Establishment: Set and uphold stringent security standards for systems, network configurations, and data management protocols, ensuring robust protection across all fronts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with diverse teams to embed secure coding practices, advocate for stringent data privacy measures, and foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
  • Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend cutting-edge security technologies, tools, and services to bolster our defensive capabilities and stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Vendor Security Oversight: Conduct rigorous security assessments of vendor partners and manage comprehensive security protocols for all third-party collaborations, safeguarding our interests and assets.

Key Relationships: Forge connections with key stakeholders including application owners, CIOs, SOC managers, and internal audit teams to ensure cohesive security measures across the organization.

Job Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Hands-on experience with security infrastructure management and cloud integration.
  • Proficiency in threat modeling, vulnerability management, and IAM technologies.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO standards.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or Azure and AWS certifications are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Flexibility for non-standard working hours and occasional travel.

Jason Banks, CSP, entered the staffing and recruitment industry in 1998, after a successful five-year career in advertising sales at CNN, a division of Turner Broadcasting. This experience put him at the forefront of the eMedia movement and at LLoyd, he spearheaded the placement of nationwide web talent through a division originally known as Spider Staffing, which eventually morphed into LLoydCreative & Digital Talent. Today Jason oversees all of LLoyd’s Direct Hire and Contract/Temporary Staffing divisions and specialized disciplines. He is the guiding hand for LLoyd’s recruitment stack which he has built on a tech-human and social community platform. He has incorporated AI sourcing tools to harvest active and passive talent through both the open web and LLoyd’s own candidate tracking and engagement system. Jason was named a rising star in the 40 Under Forty by the Long Island Business News. He is a member of the American Staffing Association’s Search and Placement group and is an active board member of the Long Island Software & Technology Network (LIST.net), where he works to promote collaborations between technology companies and their user audiences in the NY Metro Region. Jason is a supporter of the Woodward Children’s Center, a non-public NYS Education department approved school, providing programs to emotionally disabled students ages 5 to 21, and he is active in the NY/LI Chapter of JDRF.
