Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a sharp, career-driven construction professional to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager. This is a full-time, in-office role based at our East Brunswick, NJ headquarters, with occasional short-term travel to project sites in the Southeastern U.S.
What You’ll Do
- Manage or support preconstruction, estimating, layout, and planning for multiple commercial/industrial projects
- Collaborate with project managers, site supers, clients, and subs throughout the project lifecycle
- Work from conceptual design and layout through detailed estimating and proposal support
- Apply your Excel and AutoCAD (or similar) skills to analyze site logistics, develop pricing models, and assist in project setup
Job Requirements
Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or multi-family construction projects
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (Graduates from Southern U.S. schools (VA, TN, NC, SC, GA) are a plus)
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting
Industrial construction experience is highly preferred
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
Familiarity with AutoCAD, site layout software, and digital estimating tools is preferred
