Bookkeeper
Job Description
- Maintain accurate records of accounts receivables and payables
- Issue payments to suppliers via ACH and checks
- Create invoices to customers
- Follow up on late payments
- Oversee banking activities, including reconciliations and deposits
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs
- Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain accuracy
- Process payroll accurately and timely
- Manage employee payroll records and related documentation
- Establish terms for new accounts
- Manage commission tracking & payments to Sales Reps
- Prepare financial statements and reports for review by senior management
- Provide insights into financial performance to aid in decision-making
- Handle budget creation & forecasting
- Ensure government compliance in all tasks
- Interface with company Accountant
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar financial role, preferably in a small to mid-sized company
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Understanding of US GAAP
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and follow up
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Quickbooks Online & Excel
