Type: Contract, with possible contract-to-hire
Location: Onsite / multi-site support as needed
Overview
The client needs a Level 2 Desktop Support / Field IT Support Technician to support users across multiple locations in a growing construction-related environment.
This person will support a lean IT team covering a large user base, high mobile device volume, and frequent onboarding/offboarding activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 desktop support in a mostly Windows 11 environment
- Support users across multiple locations
- Handle new hire device setup and deployment
- Support offboarding, device recovery, wiping, and redeployment
- Assist with ticket coverage and general user support
- Provide remote support to office and field users
- Support laptops, phones, tablets, hotspots, and endpoints
- Help reduce escalation volume from senior IT leadership
Job Requirements
Required Experience
- Windows desktop support
- Level 2 user support
- Distributed or multi-site support
- Device imaging, setup, deployment, and hardware lifecycle support
- Remote support tools
- Active Directory
- Mobile device support
- Field-based workforce support
Preferred Experience
- Spiceworks
- LogMeIn
- Cisco Duo
- Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN
- IBM MaaS360
- Intune or Azure AD migration exposure
- PowerShell or batch scripting
- Construction industry or mobile workforce support
10–20 tickets per day per technician.
