Job Description
Position Title: Apparel Sourcing & Production Coordinator
Reports To: Sourcing & Production Leadership
Position Summary
A growing apparel organization is seeking a detail-oriented Apparel Sourcing & Production Coordinator to support sourcing, production, and vendor management activities across multiple product categories. This role will partner with internal teams and overseas suppliers to help ensure timely order placement, production tracking, cost management, and communication throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the sourcing and production team with daily communication related to vendor management, order execution, and product development.
- Coordinate with design and cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications, updates, and production information are communicated accurately.
- Assist with purchase order management, order revisions, replenishment requests, and special production needs.
- Track production timelines and provide status updates to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Work closely with planning and operations teams to maintain accurate purchasing and production information.
- Monitor sample development and facilitate communication regarding sample status and delivery timelines.
- Support the collection and organization of information related to product quality and production performance.
- Prepare pricing analyses, cost comparison reports, and seasonal sourcing summaries.
- Maintain tracking tools, reporting templates, and operational documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, International Business, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in apparel sourcing, production coordination, merchandising, supply chain operations, or a related area.
- Understanding of apparel sourcing, manufacturing, or product development processes preferred.
- Experience working with overseas vendors or global supply chains is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Additional language skills are beneficial but not required.
Work Environment
This position requires regular in-person collaboration with cross-functional teams to support product review, development, sourcing, and production activities.
