Front Desk Receptionist
Job Description
- Greet customers warmly and help with inquiries about plants, products, services, and events
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Handle customer transactions, including processing payments, returns, and exchanges
- Manage appointment scheduling for deliveries (if applicable)
- Address customer concerns and escalate issues to management when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk area
- Assist with data entry, filing, scanning, and general clerical duties
- Monitor and respond to emails and online inquiries
- Support inventory tracking and restocking of front-end retail items
- Communicate effectively with sales associates, nursery staff, and management
- Help coordinate deliveries or customer pickups
- Support seasonal promotions
- 1-3 years of Receptionist, Retail, or Customer Service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a POS system
- Basic computer proficiency (email, scheduling systems, Microsoft Office or similar)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, seasonal retail environment
- Interest or knowledge in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs. occasionally
- Comfortable working in an environment that may include indoor and outdoor exposure

Prior to starting my journey as a Talent Associate, I worked closely with Lloyd on the temp side as a field associate for more than 10 years on various assignments.
