Job Description
Job Title: Receptionist (Open-Ended Temporary Assignment)
Location: Huntington, NY Industry: Car Dealership
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Occasional Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Compensation: $20-22/hr.
Position Snapshot
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and reliable Receptionist to support a busy car dealership on an open-ended temporary basis. This role serves as the first point of contact for customers, both in person and over the phone, and plays a key role in ensuring smooth front-desk and administrative operations.
What You'll Do
Answer and route incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
Greet and welcome customers upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
Assist with basic customer inquiries and direct customers to the appropriate department or staff member
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, scanning, and document organization
Support dealership staff with clerical tasks as needed
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
Assist with scheduling, message taking, and internal communication
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative role strongly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with basic office equipment and computer systems (email, phones, data entry)
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including occasional Saturdays
