Administrative & Accounting Clerk
Job Description
Location: Bellport, NY (on-site)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Assignment Type: Temporary, Covering LOA
Organization Type: Manufacturer
Position Overview
What You’ll Do
Perform daily administrative tasks, including answering the main phone line, scanning, filing, and managing correspondence.
Process AP invoices and prepare payable runs for review and payment.
Handle AR functions, including service invoicing, cash receipt entries, and collection calls on past due accounts
Post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
Analyze bank statements, match ACH payments to remittance correspondence, and assist with reconciliations.
Support expense tracking and maintain financial records in accounting software
Assist with month-end close activities as needed.
Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding invoices, payments, and account status.
Provide general support to management and assist with special projects as assigned.

Our Client
Job Requirements
2+ years of experience in administrative support and bookkeeping, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Hands-on experience with AP/AR processes, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and MS Office Suite.
