Accountant-Individual Tax
Job Description
- Prepare and review individual federal and state income tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Analyze financial information and tax data to ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- Identify potential tax credits and liabilities, and ensure accurate and timely completion of tax returns.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and clarify any questions related to their tax situations.
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide clients with informed advice.
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and assist clients with audits or other tax-related issues.
- Maintain detailed and organized client records and documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
- Collaborate with other accounting professionals within the firm to deliver comprehensive tax planning and advisory services.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Masters preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in individual tax preparation.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Intuit Pro-series, TurboTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
