The Durable Medical Equipment Referral Coordinator (DME) is responsible for processing referrals withing the organization. This process consists of verifying patient and order information, insurance information, insurance coverage and authorizations;and placing orders through their electronic system

Performs initial setup for general DME orders
Reviews patient demographics, verify eligibility, benefits and authorization
Provides telephonic support to patient inquiries/service calls
Performs initial setup of complex orders such as CPAP/BiPap, Phototherapy, Apnea Monitor Trach/Suction setup. Oximetry, Apnea, Cpap Download, Ostomy and Motorized/Customized Wheelchairs Orders
