Customer Service Representative
Job Description
- Efficiently manage a diverse range of patient inquiries and concerns.
- Skillfully schedule patient appointments while adhering to high-volume demands, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all data inputs.
- Verify insurance information and assist patients in understanding their coverage details, providing exceptional service throughout the process.
- Act as a liaison between patients and relevant departments, appropriately escalating concerns for prompt and effective resolution.
- Guide patients in navigating our services, resolving their inquiries, or directing them to the appropriate resources.
- Maintain a professional and courteous phone manner during challenging situations, reflecting positively on our organization's image and commitment to patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive patient experience and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes.
- Complete additional tasks and assignments as directed by management, fostering a flexible and adaptable approach to your responsibilities.
Job Requirements

- Experience in customer service, particularly in healthcare or related fields, is a plus.

Laura Tavarez
Hello, I am Laura Tavarez. I was born and raised in The Dominican Republic, I also spent five years living in Puerto Rico.
In 2001, I decided to move to NYC to further my education after which I began working in the healthcare industry and have remained here now for approximately two decades.
My undergrad degree is in Health Services Administration, and I have a Master’s in Organizational Management. Working directly in the healthcare industry has allowed me to network with different groups, practice areas and health systems. I have first-hand knowledge of the lingo and culture of the healthcare community which translates well into my Recruitment role. Because of my hands-on healthcare experience, I fully understand the needs of the candidates who work in it and the workforce challenges of the employer.
