Claims Examiner
Job Description
- Review and process physician payments and inquiries
- Reconcile provider payments
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to claims processing.
- Run reports as necessary
- Adhere to established coding and billing guidelines, as well as insurance regulations.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding claims to expedite payment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, billing codes, and industry regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to claims processing activities.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma with 1 year experience OR Associates Degree and 6 months experience.
- Previous experience in healthcare claims processing or a similar role is preferred.
- Must understand revenue cycle and UB forms.
- Accounts payable/receivable experience.
- Preferred experience in the following areas - Power BI or Smart sheets experience, Certified Coder/Biller, Healthcare Background, Claims Experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
