About the client

We are the top academic medical facility on Long Island, with 695 beds and a wide range of demanding programs to satisfy the needs of our students' academic and professional ambitions.

We are seeking a highly capable and friendly clinical assistant to create a positive patient experience at our facility. In this role, you will be responsible for obtaining patient information and providing guidance on clinic procedures. You may also be required to perform minor diagnostic procedures and sterilize equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

Acts as a liaison between patients and physicians.
Completes patient forms and obtains records.
Processes prescription renewal requests.
Provides general medical office administrative support such as answering calls, routing messages, and filing medical.  
Administrative correspondence for the department.
Regularly required to communicate with patients, staff, and medical providers.   

Job Qualifications: 

Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines.
Self-directed and self-motivated. Able to multi-task.
Professional phone etiquette.

Job Requirements

High School diploma/GED.
Two (2) years of administrative/clerical experience.
